Jonathan Taplin
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan Taplin, 59, has served as chairman and chief executive officer of Intertainer since co-founding the company in 1996. Prior to joining Intertainer, he was president of Transpacific Films from 1989 to 1996 and vice president of mergers and acquisitions for Merrill Lynch and Company from 1984 to 1988.

Mr. Taplin is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Public Knowledge Board of Directors. A former film and television producer, Mr. Taplin’s films were nominated for Oscar and Golden Globes and chosen for the Cannes Film Festival seven times. His television work has garnered three Emmy nominations.

He also serves as an adjunct professor at the Annenberg School for Communications at the University of Southern California and was recently appointed by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to that state’s Broadband Task Force.
