Sextant In-Flight Systems to Reconfigure Intertainer¹s Open Architecture for Airline Functionality
CULVER CITY, Calif. (April 12, 1999) Intertainer, Inc. the only interactive broadband network providing a full spectrum of entertainment-on-demand to both the cable and telco industries today announced it has licensed Intertainer technology to Sextant In-Flight Systems, a leading developer of in-flight entertainment systems for the world¹s airlines.
Sextant In-Flight Systems will use Intertainer¹s technology as the foundation of an interactive entertainment-on-demand service offering movies, television, music, shopping and information programming to airlines.
Intertainer will provide Sextant In-Flight Systems with its interactive broadband entertainment-on-demand technology. Sextant In-Flight Systems will integrate Intertainer¹s technology with its equipment and pursue its own relationships with content providers, and the Intertainer name and logo will appear on the initial interface screen users see during a flight.
